Robert Hunter
Principal and Founder
For more than 30 years, Robert Hunter has successfully managed investment accounts for individuals, families, businesses, and nonprofit organizations in Marin County, the San Francisco Bay Area, and across the country. He graduated cum laude from Dominican University with a B.S. in business administration. Also active in the community, he co-founded Bridge the Gap College Prep in Marin City and has been a volunteer with the Canal Community Alliance in San Rafael and First Tee in Oakland.

MBA, Senior Wealth AdvisorJerry is a seasoned investment advisor and professional with over 25 years of experience in financial services. This experience with several large institutions such as Wells Fargo, Union Bank and others. He has advised individuals, families, small businesses, and Fortune 500 companies regarding their investments. Jerry graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and from Santa Clara University with a Master of Business Administration. Jerry and his wife Anita live in Oakland with their dog Bailey. Their daughter Alex is a student at the University of Rochester. Jerry is a member of the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals, the Financial Planning Association of San Francisco, and a member of the Oakland Chamber of Commerce.

Michael J. Castro
Principal
CFP® Senior Wealth AdvisorMichael is a seasoned investment advisor and professional with over 20 years of experience in financial services. Previously, Michael traded equities for mutual funds and hedge funds at the San Francisco based investment bank, Thomas Weisel Partners and most recently provided investment management for individuals and families at Charles Schwab and Co., Inc. Michael graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economies of Industrial Societies. He attained his CFP® designation in May of 2014. Michael lives in Alameda with his son and daughter.

Wayne Best
CFP® Senior Wealth Advisor
A former Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Wayne worked for Morgan Stanley for 13 years, serving as an investment advisor and associate vice president prior to joining Marin Wealth Advisors. Earlier in his career he was an auditor for Ernst and Young in Los Angeles and the controller for a commercial construction company based in San Rafael. He earned his B.S. in economics with a concentration in accounting at Cal Poly, SLO. In Wayne’s free time he volunteers with Redwood High School’s cycling team. He is also an avid runner, with a coveted Dipsea “Black Shirt.” Wayne is a 3rd generation Marin resident. He is married to Nancy, a veterinarian specializing in performance horses. Nancy volunteers for the annual Golden Gate Raptor Observatory “Hawk Watch.” They live in San Rafael with their two cats and a dog.

Carol McCollister
MBA, Senior Wealth Advisor
Carol McCollister provides personalized structure and management of client investment accounts. She also advises on the myriad of financial decisions clients face in their daily lives, being dedicated to assisting clients define and reach their financial goals.
Carol was a partner with Richard Nair in the investment advisory firm Executive Investment Advisors, providing investment management for individuals and multi-generational families for 15 years. The firm and its clients merged into Marin Wealth Advisors in early 2017.
Carol received an MBA in Finance from the University of California at Berkeley, a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, and a Certificate of Financial Planning from Boston University.
During her long career in the finance industry, Carol served on the Boards of several professional finance company associations. She also created and was editor of Womenews, the original monthly publication of the San Francisco Commission on the Status of Women.
Longtime San Francisco Bay Area residents, Carol and husband John Wyek, Sr. reside in San Rafael. Together they have enjoyed extensive business and personal international travel; current favorites are the South of France and Hawaii.

John has over 22 years running his own business as a Registered Investment Advisor. He has over forty years of experience in the financial industry working at Merrill Lynch, Bank of America and Dean Witter. John earned his designation as a Certified Financial Planner in 1979. A graduate of Principia College with a Bachelors in Business Administration, John also received a Masters in Finance at Golden Gate University. Prior to running his own business, he was the Director of Financial Planning and Benefits at the University of California, San Francisco.

Hana Wyles
Social Media Manager
Hana Wyles is a senior at Dominican University of California. She will graduate in May with a Bachelors of Art in Business Administration with concentrations in marketing, management, and global business. She has been working at Marin Wealth Advisors for over two years and manages Marin Wealth Advisors social media marketing. A native of Washington, Hana moved to Marin to attend Domincan and play collegiate volleyball. She is the executive secretary of PSAAC (Penguin Student Athlete Advisory Committee) and volunteers often through those events.

Susan Wreden
Controller
Susan is a dedicated and detail-oriented accounting professional with 30+ years of experience and has been with Marin Wealth Advisors since 2015. She is an award-winning Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader, is an avid environmentalist and believes very strongly in giving back to the community,. Susan and her family have volunteered thousands of hours of their time to benefit many programs in Marin County. She lives in Novato with her husband, David, and their 2 sons, a dog, chickens, fish, and a snake. They also have a daughter attending UC Davis.

Linda Nielsen
Client Service Manager
Linda Nielsen, originally from Copenhagen, Denmark, worked in the financial sector there for over 5 years. Linda has a Graduate Diploma of Business Administration in Financial Counselling from Copenhagen Business School.
She is currently working on obtaining her CFP® credentials while managing operations here at Marin Wealth Advisors.
Linda supports our advisors in the onboarding process of new clients, as well as our ongoing relationships with clients. She also oversees operations in compliance and technology solutions.
Linda lives in San Rafael, with her husband, Daughter and Dog. When she is not working, she enjoys reading books and spending time with family and friends.
